RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Obtain and maintain solid Telecom Industry knowledge

  • Work effectively on/with sales and non-sales teams

  • Build, leverage and maintain relationships with customers, internal employees and partners to sell to new and existing customer base

JOB COMPLEXITYGenerally sells into Global Fortune 500 accounts (Key Market Accounts)

  • Focuses on complex solutions for strategic accounts

  • Creates account plans that address the Company’s key business goals, qualifies key accounts, and builds and manages pipeline

  • Known for crafting and closing large, highly complex deals with C-level executives

  • Strategically navigates organization and creates and drives strategic emphasis where none previously existed

  • Develops strong relationships with account teams and coordinates internal resources (including Professional Services, support, and CSMs) to drive account strategy, deal closure and customer satisfaction

  • Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles

  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments

  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors

  • Exercises judgment and professional concepts in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

  • Interacts with senior level internal and external contacts.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Distinguished by additional specialized knowledge in breadth and/or depth (products, particular industries, etc.)

  • Viewed as a subject matter expert by the company and in the field

  • Comprehensive understanding of Salesforce products and services

  • Demonstrated success as a credible, experienced, professional, quota carrying account executive

  • Has full knowledge of sales industry practices

  • Excellent ROI analysis that is used to establish top-line value proposition; uses skills to drive mutual plans with the customer to close deals

  • Has extensive background of software sales experience and SaaS product knowledge

  • Demonstrates natural curiosity about technical trends and evolution and has the ability to articulate solutions

  • Expert knowledge of company products and services and/or other business applications

  • Must be proficient in both oral and written communication skills

  • Must be able to successfully position a technology solution to a CEO, CMO, CIO, etc. and run a successful SIC

  • Coordinates groups to resolve significant matters

  • Excellent at establishing and leveraging C-level relationships and LOBs

  • Numerous Fortune 500 CXO references

  • Able to sell both an application and deployment of a platform

  • Expert at negotiating complex, strategic multi-product enterprise software and services deals.

  • Japanese and English fluency required

EXPERIENCE

  • Broad expertise or unique knowledge displayed throughout sales career

  • College/University degree and 15+ years of direct field sales experience in a quota-carrying role

  • Experience running a worldwide sales team for a marquee account; either directly or via indirect reporting matrix
