We help the C-suites of the world’s biggest brands recognize and interpret forces of change in their market and work with them to plot a course towards a more robust digital future through human-centered design. Our engagements combine elements of strategy, user-research, visioning, ideation, visual storytelling, business model design, rapid prototyping, and in-market concept testing and experimentation.As one of our Innovation Executives focused on strategy you bring business acumen and a design strategists skills to solve problems for Salesforce's largest customers in Asia. The Innovation Executive is the primary engagement manager on Ignite projects, interfacing directly with clients. During each unique project you’ll collaborate with researchers, strategists, and technology specialists whilst also being the the driving force in both defining these engagements and delivering them.You'll use your phenomenal stakeholder management skills to interface directly with clients on project definition and throughout delivery. You're passionate about business innovation and disruption and bring your phenominal facilitation skills to drive transformative engagements with customers. Your love of collaboration and strategic engagement drives your focus on internal stakeholder management both within Ignite and across the Salesforce Ohana. We'd like to hear from you!This job is based in Singapore with customer-facing travel across Asia and some trips internationally as well.Primary responsibilities

  • Shape compelling Ignite engagements that benefit the customer, Salesforce, Ignite and society as a whole by working closely with customer executive teams

  • Work with cross-functional teams of researchers, designers, strategists and technologists to design and conduct bespoke innovation engagements

  • Conduct stakeholder and secondary research; participate in end-user primary research; recognize economically meaningful end-user pain points and unmet needs

  • Frame new opportunities and concepts that deliver value to customers and end users, balancing constraints, and knit together holistic visions of future customer success.

  • Catalyze action by building conviction among top decision-makers through formal processes and skilled relationship management.

  • Build C-suite relationships through capabilities and presence, becoming a trusted advisor to customer executives who seek you out for strategic advice.

  • Lead complex customer projects that deliver world-class results, motivating, mentoring and aligning a core team of researchers, designers and strategists, as well as broader Salesforce and customer team members.

  • Shape and articulate value propositions in conjunction with value specialists.

  • Build strong relationships with diverse internal stakeholders to bring the full Salesforce ecosystem together for maximum customer success, creating enduring relationships that advance personal and Ignite success.

  • Contribute to compelling narratives that capture insight and inspire executive-level audiences.

Experience & Qualifications

In addition to the competencies necessary to fulfill the responsibilities above, the following experience and qualifications are sought:

  • 5-10 years experience working or consulting with C-level customers on business innovation and strategy issues, collaborating with and managing cross-functional teams of creative and analytical backgrounds including in research, design and strategy.

  • 5+ years cross-cultural and international working experience and appetite for more.

  • Able to lead and work cross-functional, collaborative teams

  • Able to gain trust, guide, influence and facilitate c-level executives, internal and external stakeholders

  • Knowledge of strategy, business model design, design thinking, and innovation

  • Strong facilitation skills, ability to balance conversation in mixed groups, bravery to tell hard truths and manage political dynamics, effectively drive participants towards promising new and unconventional ideas

  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken, in English

  • Passionate curiosity regarding emerging trends in innovation, business strategy, and the challenges of transforming large enterprises, and enthusiasm for using the design process to make businesses more effective, relevant and successful.

  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity, and helping other team members through it, and enthusiastic about working in a culture of critique and iteration with all team members.

  • Entrepreneurial bias for action with ability to resolve problems with limited resources and input.

  • Empathetic and flexible in communication and work styles depending on context

  • Knowledge of leading companies in Asia Pacific and relationships with executives in these and other companies.

  • Experience spreading the gospel of innovation and design thinking through teaching, publishing, speaking etc.

  • Self-motivated, a good communicator, and able to balance quality deliverables with tight deadlines.

  • Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time
