Our customers rely on us to keep their data highly available during upgrade and release. We are looking for a database engineer (devops or development experience is a plus!) to help build and run the software that enables us to keep up with the fast paced demands of securing, scaling and operating our database services. You'll collaborate with product owners, top-notch software engineers and world-class database administrators to design and implement our next generation API driven infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesRespond to database operational concerns resulting from monitoring and troubleshooting. Triage and follow up with database and automation issues. Work with the team to document process, suggests updates to the process and tooling. Help author tools that reliably manage infrastructure. Leveraging a framework/tools to package and rollout infrastructure changes leveraging a variety of languages, nice to have languages are including: PLSQL, Python, Shell Scripting and or Java. Deliver on our Continuous Compliance vision. Be willing to become a proficient Python coder. Support current security and compliance activities for our Database Infrastructure. Extensive knowledge of session management and instance troubleshooting in Oracle. Interact with members of the DBA team to attribute issues to release tooling or other factors. Develop, Maintain and automate scripts to collect and analyze database release Document all compliance processes and procedures to demonstrate proficiency in establishing repeatable processes.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
3-5 years of professional experience and a general awareness of Oracle best practices.
Strong understanding of database infrastructure (Oracle RAC, Linux, SAN and Network) and database concepts(SQL, PLSQL).
Ability to work effectively within a team environment and to work proactively.
Solid experience with SQL/PLSQL,Python,Java or similar and should be comfortable with large scale database systems
Excellent verbal communication and technical documentation skills.
Extensive knowledge of Session, Role, and Privilege management in Oracle and other relational databases.
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, agile team environment.
Strong passion towards building tools and systems that enable other developers on the team to build great things.
Good Experience working with automation tools and frameworks.
Nice to have have good development and automation experience
