We are looking for a talented, self-directed individual to join our Enterprise Systems team. The Workday Specialist will be responsible for maintaining and improving our Workday Financial and HCM as well as various other systems that support our organization. This position includes a heavy focus on application support while also working with team members and other stakeholders to deliver new functionality. This opportunity requires deep knowledge of the Workday platform and a solid understanding of Benefits, HR, Compensation and Time Tracking. Financial systems a plus.

The Workday Specialist will report to the Director, Enterprise Systems Engineering and be a key member of an growing, innovative, and distributed technology team focused on delivering an excellent user experience.

Core Responsibilities

Salesforce.org is a fast-paced organization that is growing rapidly. It should be expected that the scope of this position will evolve. Below is a partial representation of what may be included in the Workday Specialist's typical responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders and Product Manager to define requirements and create new processes.

  • Monitor and respond to feature and support requests from users.

  • Support user administration, roles, access and team projects.

  • Maintain system protocols by documenting and updating procedures.

  • Maintain current system integrations, assist process standardization and data integrity.

  • Assist in release planning and execution with Enterprise Systems team members.

  • Develop and deliver end user training on standard and custom developed functionalities, and provide support to users to improve user experience.

  • Assist with the development of key reports and dashboards for key stakeholders.

  • Provide HR, Benefits, Compensation, and time tracking expertise, analysis, training, coaching and guidance for the effective and efficient use of the systems.

  • Develop and contribute to the future state and roadmap for HR, Benefits, Compensation, and time tracking applications, by researching and maintaining knowledge of industry best practices.

  • Assist with gathering and developing business requirements and employ strong analytical and listening skills to understand and translate to functional specifications.

  • Design and implement process improvements and system enhancements conforming with application and industry best practices to improve effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with business owners and third party consulting/supporting firms on optimize system performance including understanding, coordinating and seamlessly implementing changes required.

  • Generating advanced reports and calculated fields for our business partner.

Preferred Skills

  • Workday experience required.

  • Knowledge of HR and payroll processes.

  • Experience working with HR, payroll, and finance teams and translating business requirements into Workday solutions.

  • Excellent problem solving, documentation, and communication skills.

  • Experience with integration between enterprise information systems.

  • Experience building reports and dashboards.

  • Proven leadership, prioritization, and analytical skills.

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and planning skills.

  • Ability to multi-task and open to taking on a variety of different types of tasks.

Technical Skills

  • Three or more years of hands-on experience supporting Workday HCM or in similar consulting role.

  • Experience with Workday absence and advanced compensation a plus.

  • Previous experience working with Workday Financials a plus.

  • Strong problem solving skills, including demonstrated ability to analyze and communicate complex issues.

  • Previous responsibility for administration of technology systems or equivalent consulting.

  • Previous experience working in an agile environment a plus
