Salesforce - We are looking for a dynamic professional to support our Strategic Sourcing team for Corporate and Professional Services. The Successful candidate will lead key commodities within Corporate and Professional Services for the AMER region, and will collaborate with other commodity leads across other categories, and regions.
This position is located in San Francisco, CA, reporting to the Director of Strategic Sourcing for Corporate and Professional Services.
Performance Objectives:(i) Support the development and execution of sourcing strategies related to the category spend areas, including analyzing spend data, market research, formulate strategies to optimize and rationalize spend, recommend and drive the tendering process (RFx), negotiate contract terms with suppliers, manage any required transition, as well as the contract lifecycle.(ii) Establishing and expanding relationships with Salesforce stakeholders across the region, including Corporate and Professional Services leads in the region, legal teams, finance and accounting, risk management. (iii) Influencing strategies and decisions and leading complex, highly visible, negotiations with strategic and key suppliers, including the establishment of service levels, key performance indicators, price and term negotiations in order to mitigate risk and increase savings. (iv) Managing all engagements and relationships with major suppliers that support Salesforce and the Corporate and Professional Services team.
(v) Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Accounting, Operation as well as Corporate Professional Services teams to support timely purchases of services and material for office expansions and facilities services.
(vi) Drive quarterly business reviews with key suppliers, in collaboration with key business partners and ensure supplier’s frequent reporting on service levels and KPI’s.
(vii) Navigate and process complex spreadsheets or datasets, and be able to provide insights and recommendations based on data analytics.

Has sourced or managed Travel related sourcing in the past (air, hotel, car, and executive services)
Category Management: Knowledge of best practice category management strategies and approach to support the objectives of the company and the local Business Units.
Corporate and Professional Services Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of procurement processes related to consulting services, SOW, and RFx management. Includes the ability to use financial models, industry knowledge, and the client's business requirements to develop and implement optimized business solutions.
Data and Analytics: Ability to use data and apply robust analytics to model various business scenarios and analyze resulting cost, impact, risks, and benefits to inform and recommend business solutions.
Best Practices: Knowledge of Professional Services initiatives, Strategic Sourcing and business best practices to guide thought leadership and ensure effective sourcing strategies. Includes the ability to recognize value creation opportunities within and across business units.
Understanding of Competitive Environment: Knowledge of industry operations, products, services, and environment. Ability to collect value-added information, gather competitive intelligence information, and promote sharing across appropriate organizations.
In depth knowledge of the sourcing process and competitive bidding process: interfacing with clients, analyzing responses, developing selection criteria, and choosing appropriate suppliers (RFP, RFI, RFQ).
Contracts and Agreements: Ability to read, write, and interpret contractual documentation. Knowledge of contract terms, applications, and legal requirements, including the ability to manage performance to contracts and agreements.
Ability to explain requirements

Knowledge of the types of services agreements and the appropriate usage under various customer circumstances.
Ability to explain, at a high level, the legal implications of a contract agreement. Ability to lead the process of completing and compiling agreements.
Ability to insert contract language that operationalizes business relationships with suppliers in order to protect salesforce.com interests and withstand legal challenges.
Supplier Performance Management: Knowledge of supplier capabilities and performance to help select, enhance, and manage relationships. Ability to measure supplier performance to expectation and recommend opportunities for improvement.
Has a broad understanding of the travel industry, TMC’s, airlines, hotels, Sabre, and the online dynamic pricing model.
At least 6 Years Procurement/Strategic Sourcing experience
Polished negotiation skills & knowledge of supplier management, segmentation and strategic sourcing practices
Analytical skills managing and discerning data, making executive level presentations & formulating strategies
Work well under pressure, ability to multitask and skilled time manager that is comfortable working under minimal supervision
Comfortable making presentations at Executive Level and establishing relationships with different internal and external stakeholders such as business customers, legal resources, suppliers, etc.
