Salesforce Core Engineering powers all application development for Salesforce Tech, Marketing and Product with leading-edge services, tools, and frameworks. As the SWE Experience PM you will be responsible for making the developer experience of Salesforce engineers world class. You understand what makes engineers tick, you are willing to sit with developers, see where they get blocked, and help fix their problems so they can focus their time on creation of even more features on our amazing platform. You will be the point person responsible for making sure our engineers feel empowered, while at the same time maintaining our world class security which maintains our most important value, Trust of our customers.This PM will internally focused and will be working with a dedicated team, as well as working with other teams across Salesforce to deliver feature/functionality requirements across a very unique SDLC. An example of some teams you will work with include: customer facing product management, finance, site reliability, customer centric engineering, release management. This role will require you to deeply understand Salesforce internal processes and translate those to a highly constrained environment.This PM will own the requirements for our IDEs, virtual workstations, and supporting tooling that our engineers use day to day to create our platform. Knowledge and background of what drives developer productivity is a must. You will need to have excellent communication and project management skills. You will be looked at to find solutions and drive towards simple solutions to complex problems.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in Product Management

  • Having driven multiple releases of the same product over a couple of years

  • Demonstrable ability to work effectively with technical and business leaders, across both companies in cross-company programs

  • Ability to translate business requirements into product and technical requirements

  • Understanding and ability to define technical specifications, write high level documents, and define security and compliance requirements

  • Experience managing small cross-functional teams, as well as large programs

  • Ability to think strategically and rally people around big ideas, while executing tactically in order to achieve incremental progress

  • Killer presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize among many competing and conflicting goals within different groups

  • Understanding of Agile software development

  • Demonstrated experience in gathering and transforming product requirements into an actionable product roadmap

Experience/Skills Desired:

  • Ability to value stream map or use other models to help drive understanding of problems we are solving

  • Experience with SaaS business model/operations, technical/business architecture

  • Ability to drive alignments on priorities with senior management

  • Strong customer service orientation and a desire to help others succeed

  • Independently capable of driving day-to-day activities with minimal management consultation

  • Proven ability to lead through influence and drive successful projects and programs across a complex organization with many stakeholders

  • Proven networking skills and the ability to quickly establish credibility and create confidence with customers, partners, and colleagues

  • Proven success working with product, sales, channel, marketing and operations functions in a product/technology organization
