Security Assurance- Responsible for ensuring that our products, infrastructure, vendors and acquisitions meet our security standards. Includes Product Security (Application Security for SaaS/PaaS)
As a security leader you will manage part of the team responsible for designing, building and/or maintaining and operating innovative security services and solutions that support the needs of our internal and external customers in our Saas & PaaS environments. You’ll be responsible for hiring and retaining the best security talent around, growing your team and the people on it, and helping guide the successful execution of the security business plans.
Partners with other engineering teams and executives to develop short- and long-term security, product and operations strategies.
Manage dev-op activities to support large scale cloud services.
Collaborate with other teams to solve security problems with minimal disruption to other business functions.
Manage the investigation and troubleshooting of security issues to determine root cause and drive solutions.
Continuous improvement of policies, procedures and technology
Hire, train and assess performance of direct reports according to corporate policies and procedures.
Assist in the growth of employees through coaching, training and career development activities.
Manage a mixed-specialty team may include software engineers, network and system engineers, as well as “traditional” security engineers.
Interact with industry experts, partners, internal staff and auditors
Work effectively as part of a geographically distributed team
Occasional travel is required (domestic and international)
8+ years of experience in a leadership capacity
7+ years of experience in Security Assurance
Capable of leading and motivating a team of engineers in a challenging, dynamic and global environment.
Relevant application security technology knowledge
Previously managed a minimum of at least 5 direct reports with no less than 4 years of people management experience
Bachelor's in Engineering/Computer Science or related industry (or equivalent experience)
Solid hands-on technical background particularly in managing highly complex, multi-platform environments
Required for application security roles: Reasonable knowledge of OWASP top 10, threat modeling, penetration testing, defensive engineering tactics, paas and saas
- Prior understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
