The Big Data & Monitoring Product Management team provides the products and the platform on which Salesforce applications run. Our product portfolio covers storage, compute & transport for Big Data and the full monitoring stack including monitoring, logging, alerting, tracing and visibility. Our products run at a trillions of data-points per day scale and are available and performant. Our products go across multiple infrastructure substrates and run in both Public Cloud and our Data Centers. We are big believers in, and active contributors to the Open Source community.As a Product Marketing Manager for the Big Data & Monitoring organization, you will be responsible for the marketing activities for our Big Data and Unified Monitoring platform. You will drive awareness about our products and evangelize them both internally and externally. You will work with the Product Management team to develop and execute the go-to-market activities to successfully launch products and build momentum for them in the marketplace. You will work closely with our customers to produce reference stories and with our engineers to share our technology stack & learnings to the broader external community.You enjoy working with people, are a keen reader of people, culture and team dynamics and build relationships to make things happen and achieve customer and business success. You are open minded and can easily move across tactical and strategic asks. You will have great executive presence and are a communication superstar.Responsibilities:

  • Define product marketing strategy for our Big Data & Monitoring product portfolio.

  • Develop compelling positioning and messaging for all our Big Data & Monitoring products

  • Translate our product's value proposition and customer success into impactful enablement documents including pitch decks, case studies, collaterals, blogs and white papers.

  • Build demos and technical presentations

  • Work with engineering leadership to increase contribution to Open Source projects and evangelize our Big Data & Monitoring team to broader community via events, blogs and other engagement methods.

  • Ability to prioritize based on risk impact and customer need is a key requirement of the role.

  • Fill the business development pipeline by engaging with prospects, partners, and key customers.

  • Translate business objectives into execution strategy (tactical and strategic through input into the Long Range Plan (LRP), V2MOMs, etc.), lead and successfully execute the strategy through strong collaboration and agile leadership.

  • Anticipate and aggressively remove obstacles that slow down or prevent programs from delivering on program objectives.

  • Drive for clarity to keep teams moving forward.

Experience/Skills Required:

  • Minimum BS degree in Computer Science or related field; MBA preferred

  • 3+ years enterprise level software product marketing / management role

  • Prior experience working on enterprise products a must

  • Experience working with Big Data technologies, APM, DevOps processes, or related suites of technologies a strong plus

  • Excellent written communication

  • Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.

  • Self starter, entrepreneurial, strategic planner with proven ability to drive projects and strong analytical skills

  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike.

  • Ability to successfully collaborate with multiple technical functions in the areas of infrastructure, technical operations, software engineering and customer support.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Some travel between San Francisco and Seattle required.
