The Global Finance & Strategy team is hiring a Manager/Senior Manager of Finance and Strategy, Reporting and Analytics Operations.
This role will lead on-going delivery and centralized governance of standard suite of key company metrics and foundational reporting capabilities. In this role, you will need to learn the Salesforce business model, key drivers and recommend / develop new metrics to measure the dynamic nature of the business. Responsibilities include evaluating key company metrics with a critical analytical eye to turn data into an objective actionable narrative. Role requires strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders by driving business insights. Successful approach will include a hybrid of cross functional process optimization, shared services, and technical innovation to drive scale.
In this capacity, the individual will be responsible for:
Besides standard reporting, the role will also lead the governance required to develop and analyze Key Company Accountability based metrics for CEO/ Co-CEO’s extended leadership every month / quarter. Responsibilities include, managing standard data and dimension definitions across all metrics, analytics of the metrics with a critical finance eye to identify trends and anomalies, follow up with metric owners to gain context on open questions after analyzing and develop a strong narrative for senior leadership,
Building foundational capabilities with a center of excellence (COE) team to generate standard reporting to drive scalable processes. Developing a COE team will require identifying recurring processes, documentation of standard operating procedures, data governance and validation and high standard for quality output
Develop and lead predictive analytics capabilities and statistical analysis to drive new business insights leveraging data science skills and foundational reporting capabilities
Be the thought leader in understanding how senior leadership leverages these metrics for decision making. Incorporate that knowledge in driving alignment and standardization with all metric owners. Develop a robust knowledge of the business model and provide an objective recommendation such as, are these metrics measuring and driving the right behavior, is the underlying data / data structure and definitions consistent?
Partner with the senior leaders to coach and mentor the broader finance and strategy teams as we build finance reporting and analytics core capabilities engine and drive digital transformation
The ideal candidate thrives in delivering solutions to complex problems, has an affinity for data and analytics in support of driving business decisions, is a strong team leader and is comfortable working with executives and stakeholders of all levels.In this role, you will be highly collaborative, working cross-functionally with teams across Finance and the company to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency, and scale, and deliver solutions through technology, process and shared services. Of immediate focus, you will lead building and deployment of foundational capabilities and shared services for standardized reporting solution and company key metrics analysis, and governance. This role will act as the “go to” person for finance certified data of key company performance metrics for the Accountability Performance Matrix (APM). You will need to manage information from multiple systems to distill into a clear message, analyze the information based on decision making by the executive leadership team and follow up with metrics owner on definition and narrative. Candidate must have a FP&A background with experience in delivering standardized reporting and analysis capabilities leveraging innovative technical solutions ranging from macro based optimization.Responsibilities:
Build strong acumen to analyze the data and be the expert to identify inconsistencies and present findings (such as factors that drove results or data quality root causes, etc) to senior leaders across the company
Drive cross functional alignment, ownership and communication of standard data definitions, structures and governance of key company performance metrics
Develop extensive knowledge base of existing Salesforce processes, identify opportunities to drive efficiency and scale in partnership with metric owners across the company and internally within Finance and Strategy.
Strong team player with service-oriented attitude and customer focus
Strategize, evangelize and deliver standardization of reporting and analytics capabilities in a shared services/ center of excellence model to drive efficiencies and scale
Represent FP&A with other functions in CFO’s organization to provide feedback, insight and recommendations to influence strategy and road map and partner on inter-dependent projects
Lead design and solution to execute the key company metrics; lead deep dives into our processes and data to unlock business and governance opportunities
Partner with Finance PMO to manage project plan and project related communications.
Focus on attention to details while working with finance team members to ensure their reporting and process needs are being met
Lead with influence within the immediate work group and cross functionally across the company at all levels of the organization
Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and manage inter dependencies on other company process to recommend scalable long term processes, architecture and systems.
Conceptualize innovative solutions such as, predictive analytics and partner with the technical pillars of the team to deliver proof of concept and/or improvement to existing financial systems
Learn, align and provide thought leadership on world class best practices in FP&A and key company performance metrics process and systems
Must be comfortable with changing requirements and priorities
Must have a sense of accountability while influencing others in a team environment to complete their respective tasks
Must be results and service oriented and ability to make progress with incomplete information
Bachelor’s Degree Master’s degree preferred
8-10+ years of FP&A experience and leading with influence
Data science, statistical analysis skills and experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to be effective with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively as well as the business and technical communities
Structured and critical thinking to lead governance of complex financial reporting and analytics
Extremely adept at integrating disparate information, correlating data, and understanding data trends
Experience with data quality assessment and implementing solutions to improve the data quality
Demonstrated ability to be innovative and challenging status quo
Proven track record of building strong relationships across functions, different levels within the organization and across locations
Highly advanced Excel and VBA skills
