About the Position:The Manager, Sales Strategy role is a hybrid of traditional jobs in strategic planning, sales operations, finance, and analysis – requiring a mix of market analysis, sales optimization and business operational support.This individual will share responsibility for driving the continued success of by supporting our product growth strategy, while also providing support across the Sales Cloud portfolio of products.This person will work on a variety of global projects across functions and customer segments. Deliverables take the form of recommendations on go-to-market strategy, customer segmentation, sales coverage and investment prioritization. Operationally, the focus will be on forecasting, market sizing and trend analysis, business performance tracking, and formulation of actionable recommendations. The successful candidate will regularly brief executives and own various cross-functional initiatives. This person must feel comfortable interacting with senior management on a regular basis.This role has a direct report(s).Responsibilities:

  • Lead ongoing analysis of business performance to support daily operations

  • Design and interpret key performance metrics. Deliver insights & recommendations

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the go-to-market model and identify opportunities to improve sales efficiency and effectiveness

  • Drive strategic initiatives including pipeline management and go-to-market plans

  • Work cross-functionally to develop growth plans for new geographies, and market segments

  • Build executive presentations, crafting the messages of sales and product leadership

  • Design and interpret key performance metrics and craft plans to address identified weaknesses

Required Skills/Experience:

  • BS/BA required; MBA a strong plus, but not required

  • 6+ years of work experience in sales, sales operations or management consulting, with strong exposure to B2B go-to-market strategy

  • Prior experience in the cloud software industry preferred

  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, develop solutions, and craft high-quality executive presentations

  • Very strong executive presence and engagement skills

  • Highly collaborative style with strong influence skills

  • Flexibility and ability to adjust on the fly to new demands; a sense of urgency

  • Experience with SQL (or similar analytical packages) a plus
