This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player in launching and growing the Speaker Bureau for the Salesforce Innovation Center program. The SIC is where we win the hearts and minds of senior executives, proving Salesforce is the obvious partner to help co-create their vision and guide them to achieve business success.The lifeblood of the SIC program relies on the strength and bench of our Discussion Leaders. The role of the Director, Speaker Bureau for the Salesforce Innovation Center is to establish the vision and strategy for the Speaker Bureau program, strengthening our relationships with our discussion leaders and ensuring a consistent experience in the SIC for both the Discussion Leader and the end customer. This person will also contribute to a team responsible for the creation and governance of the SIC content strategy, developing reusable content and immersive experiences that fuel executive engagements at our Innovation CentersYou will work closely with the SIC evangelists, speaker engagement specialists, strategists and content strategists to ensure a solution-oriented approach designed to highlight customer success and alleviate current pain point, resulting in a positive experience for speakers. You will identify gaps in our roster of speakers and content and cultivate new speakers so that the SIC has a deep bench for each topic and does not rely too heavily on particular individuals. You will develop and publish speaker guidelines and best practices and educate the the group on additional resources to help facilitate discussion. A mix of marketing, sales skills and sales coaching is required.Responsibilities:

  • Create, own and manage a scalable Speaker Bureau program for the SIC

  • Proactively provide programmatic ideas and direction to regional SICs to elevate the regional speaker bench and program

  • Assess HQ and regional speaker needs and SIC event patterns to identify synergies and opportunities for collaboration

  • Oversee the strategic direction of the following projects:

  • The development and launch of the SIC’s Speakers Bureau as a one-stop shop for colleagues

  • New speaker sourcing

  • Create a constructive feedback loop via customer surveys and Chatter group

  • Observe SIC Discussion Leaders during SIC briefings with the goal of ensuring that all speakers are leading compelling conversations with the customer goal in the forefront

  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts on positioning products in a manner conducive to a briefing environment

  • Promote and evangelize the SIC brand to the Discussion Leader community

  • Partner with the Content Strategy team in the maintenance, growth & improvement of our library of standard content

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Proven track Record - 5+ years or relevant experience in public relations, enablement, executive coaching and/or speaker management

  • Successful leader – proven ability to set a vision, excite and lead cross-functional efforts in a diplomatic manner with political sensibility

  • Functional project management experience – strong track record of driving simultaneous projects and multiple initiatives from concept to completion

  • Background - Training in mixed-media presentation and discussion facilitation techniques

  • Strong facilitation skills – ability to balance conversation in mixed groups/perspectives, bravery to tell hard truths and effectively drive participants towards the 'north star'

  • High energy – works well under pressure, meets tight deadlines and regularly exceeds expectations

  • Superior customer service attitude – passion for delivering the best customer experience possible

  • Keen understanding of Salesforce – knowledge of corporate strategy, technology stack and sales processes

  • Creative and strategic thinker – experience in launching, implementing and measuring new, innovative ideas

  • Exceptional communicator – clear, effective and concise written and oral skills to all levels of the business.

  • Collaboration and Partnership - excellent at collaborating with many contributors

  • Solution-orientated – complex problem solver adaptable to change and shifting priorities with the upmost professionalism

  • Agile - comfortable bending between the strategic and tactical

  • Education – Bachelor’s degree required

  • General computer skills – knowledge of PowerPoint, Google Slides and Apple Keynote... bonus points for experience with quip!
