We need someone who will embrace a constantly-evolving brand strategy while staying true to the fundamental promise and values that have guided Salesforce for 19 years.This brand marketing manager will need to have experience with the many facets of nurturing, protecting, and growing the brand of a global company. Importantly, this role will require the application of traditional branding skills to unprecedented and innovative situations. So the right candidate will need to be strategically creative, able to pivot quickly, and comfortable with ambiguity.This individual will report to the head of Creative Strategy and will be a part of the Creative & Digital organization, which is led by the Chief Creative Officer and is a part of Corporate Marketing.Our ideal candidate will be comfortable with the following brand activities:

  • Management: maintaining the style guide an assets, reviewing brand work from other teams, training teams, and working withour Legal and Trademark teams.

  • Research: managing brand studies and delivering monthly reports on brand success metrics.

  • Advertising: controlling placements of corporate ads in all media, maintaining the portfolio of approved ads, identifying new opportunities, and overseeing the overall media plan.

  • Innovation: identifying new opportunities, partnering with the Brand Innovation team, working with Strategic Partnerships

  • Agencies: being the primary point of contact with our brand creative agencies, managing Agency Days for agencies orientation, participate in agency vetting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 6+ years marketing, product marketing, or creative agency experience

  • Within that, 3+ years experience with media, design, or research

  • Experience managing and supporting multiple well-known global brands

  • Demonstrated knowledge of branding best practices and principles.

  • Proven ability to plan and facilitate meetings, workshops, and orientations.

  • Comfort with difficult or challenging situations involving peers and more senior marketers

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to adapt to changing expectations and responsibilities as the role evolves

[Plus additional Employee Success or Recruiting langugge or requirements]Brand advertising:Manage brand placements in all media (print, OOH, digital).Make sure creative rotations happen on a regular cadence in placed media.Maintain accurate portfolio of approved brand advertising.Work with Creative leadership on new media opportunities and partnerships.Brand research:Manage Creative participation in brand studies (with Insights team).Track success metrics for monthly reporting.Brand management:Maintain brand style guide and assets.Review, approve and modify brand work coming from outside teams.Train internal and external teams on the proper use of the brand.Partner with regional teams on brand questions.Facilitate connection between regional creative teams, legal and trademark teams.Liaise with Legal to create solutions and resolve problems with partner brand usage.Brand Innovation leadership:Identify new brand opportunities and needs and brief Brand Innovation team on new work streams.Work with Strategic Partnerships team on co-branding and partner opportunities.Spearhead new naming projects.Agency management:Manage brand and media agency partners.Organize and manage agency vetting, especially in regions.Drive international Chatter group in support of global agencies.Manage periodic Agency Days to educate agency partners
