Trailhead Instructors are a global team responsible for training and enabling customers along with employees and partners to be successful using the Salesforce applications and platform.

Trailhead continues to expand their leveraged model and will endeavour to train the majority of customers via the partner channel; this business model requires employee instructors to engage in activities to support, develop and enable the partner/subcontractor instructor community.

Salesforce employs three levels of instructors:

  • Application Instructors/Technical Instructors

  • Senior Instructors (Application and Technical)

  • Master Instructors (Application and Technical)

Application Instructor Job Description

Application Instructor Responsibilities

  • Deliver effective, well-managed and well-facilitated training in public, private and internal classes

  • Receive 4.5 or higher average scores (out of 5) from student surveys - the primary measure of customer satisfaction (measured quarterly)

  • Participate in community conversations to optimize training materials, increase instructor technical knowledge and raise issues for discussion/resolution

  • Proactively promotes the Trailhead catalogue of offerings such as learning paths, certification and additional training courses with customers, both in and out of the classroom

  • Pass leads to the Trailhead Account Executives to contribute the team revenue targets

  • Delivers 35-40 days of training per quarter; up to 60% travel may be required

  • Participates in key initiatives in the local team/department to improve processes, customer satisfaction or increase margin/revenue

Application or Technical Instructor Experience/Skills

  • Proven track record in delivering effective, interactive technical training to large audiences (10+ students)

  • Excellent delivery, presentation, facilitation and classroom management skills

  • Ability to alter delivery style ‘on the fly’ as student requirements dictate

  • Marketing Cloud Experience , CPQ experience or Salesforce CRM experience a plus

  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and personal excellence

  • Exhibits enthusiasm, positive professional attitude, integrity and reliability

  • Complete tasks in a quality manner within a specified timeframe

  • Promote a team atmosphere - works well with colleagues within Salesforce.com as well as the broader partner community

  • Related Bachelors degree (or comparable experience)
