Job DetailsEvent Content, Sr. Associate -

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Event Content, the Event Content, Sr. Associate will assist with planning, developing and managing events for Located in our San Francisco office, this position requires travel across the country. This is an opportunity to get involved in our rapidly growing team and grow professionally along with the business.Your Impact and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Manager, Event Content in management of programming and content life cycle of the annual Higher Ed and Nonprofit marquee events

  • Have an understanding of online content management systems, tools and templates to track content development, deliverables and internal deadlines

  • Project manage key speaker assets & logistics, including but not limited to:

  • Compile all speaker proposals and submit to Senior Manager, Event Content for review and session selection

  • Create, send & track speaker agreements as needed

  • Work with creative team to develop creative assets for speakers

  • Collect and upload speaker bios, photos, and powerpoint

  • Upload session data into content system and maintain accurate records of conference sessions and speaker information in dynamic environment

  • Review content and speaker materials ensuring they are free of errors and omissions

  • Coordinate speaker audio/visual requirements

  • Supplement speaker communications and presentation schedules as guided by manager

  • Manage amenities, including but not limited to

  • Booking flights, hotels, car services

  • Setting up private rooms and walk-throughs

  • Coordinating handlers, speaker gifts, security, meals, and interpreters

  • Provide on-site content program speaker assistance and customer service duties as assigned

  • Collaborate cross-organizationally to build strong event support teams to meet event deliverables

Required Skills:

  • 4-6 years successful event management and project management experience

  • Nonprofit or education sector experience preferred

  • Willing and able to work remotely and travel as required (approx. 25%)

  • Ability to thrive in fast paced environment with competing priorities and last minute changes

  • Comfort in working with various partners to execute balance of expectations, priorities and opportunities that encourage collaboration

  • Seamlessly plug into our existing events processes, while having a fresh perspective to iterate creatively moving forward

  • Highly organized, detail oriented with exceptional project and time management skills

  • Willingness to take on additional tasks and roles with a “can-do” attitude

  • Ability to manage up on tasks and communication out to the team, knowing when to ask for help.

  • Self-starter who can prioritize workload in a strict deadline oriented environment

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with executive leadership and teams

  • Sense of humor is a must

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills, with the ability to proactively address internal client needs

  • Flexibility, comfortable dealing with ambiguity, shifting priorities and the occasional abrupt change

  • Ability to assess and prioritize workload in a strict deadline oriented environment

  • Thrive on teamwork and overcoming obstacles

  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce, Google Docs and Microsoft Office programs (MS Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is necessary
