The Einstein Platform augments the Salesforce Platform with the ability to easily create, deploy, and manage predictive applications across all clouds. We achieve this vision by providing unified, opinionated, configuration-driven, and fully orchestrated machine learning APIs and customer-facing declarative interfaces. We are already producing billions of predictions per day serving thousands of customers. We are looking for a Principal Architect to help us take us to the next level, and build a platform that scales to hundreds of thousands of customers, and hundreds of billions of predictions per day.Responsibilities
Own the end to end architecture of the Einstein Platform and build the technology for taking the Einstein Platform to hundreds of thousands of Salesforce customers, and hundreds of billions of predictions per day
Partner end-to-end with Product Managers and Data Scientists to understand customer requirements and design prototypes and bring ideas to production
Design multi-tenant RESTful services for low-latency scoring/inferences at scale, and training massive amounts of data
Build or leverage Orchestration systems for running hundreds of thousands of workflows in a self-healing manner
Develop compute and data infrastructure that ingests and transforms data from different sources and customers at scale in batch and real-time
Build large-scale data pipelines and computation systems that process massive amount of data on Spark and EMR
Build a Data Lake for supporting machine learning applications at Salesforce at scale
BS, MS, or PhD in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
15+ years of experience with hands-on, server side development
Track record of leading highly impactful large scale projects from conception to finish
Expertise in JVM based languages (Java, Scala)
Experience in building software on cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
Experience building machine learning infrastructure at scale
Experience in microservices architecture, container management, service mesh, API gateways and tools like Kubernetes, Istio, Envoy, or Linkerd
Proven track record in building products on some production-grade big data systems such as Spark, Kafka, Storm, and Hadoop
Experience building and running real-time data applications in production
History of contributions to Hadoop, Spark, Storm, Hadoop, or similar open source projects
History of contributions to Kubernetes, Mesos, Istio, Envoy, or similar open source projects
