Salesforce Commerce Professional Services is seeking an innovative and passionate Senior Project Manager who shares our vision of bringing the power of cloud computing to enterprises. Project Managers are experienced professionals on our project teams responsible for overseeing the production of deliverables. They work closely with various technical and non-technical team members; managing and running more complex, enterprise and strategic technical implementation projects. Our ProjectManagers are subject matter experts who actively participate on the project, scoping, contracts review, knowledge transfer, and budget management. The principal KPI’s are utilization, billings, project quality, project performance & methodology evolution. The Project Manager works closely with the client services management team to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the project implementation.


  • Lead the successful implementation of large scale, transformative Commerce Cloud implementation programs.

  • Define effective program management processes, structure, roles, and responsibilities to successful execution and delivery of business objectives.

  • Monitor and review project progress and timelines; adjust schedules and plans as needed, and identify and resolve issues to ensure project success.

  • During the course of a project, be the primary customer interface and perform project management activities that ensures adherence to Salesforce methodology and project gates and governance.

  • Exercise solid project leadership skills combined with strong business acumen and in-depth analytical skills.

  • Track utilization of project resources and manage this against the resource allocation and budget. This includes on time entry and approvals for project time-sheets.

  • Validate invoice for hours/days provided and expenses according to the terms of the contract (SOW).

  • Collaborate and coordinate the project scope through effective change control with the Functional Architect and the customer.

  • Manages the High Level Discovery process and SOW/proposal process with the Director of Project Delivery, and working closely with the Sales team.

  • Perform the established Project start-up process activities such as project readiness assessment and project kickoff activities.

  • Facilitate requirements gathering and assist with the creation of project deliverables, as needed.

  • Manages delivery of Site Readiness Assessments for partner prime projects.

  • Perform effective project close-out at the completion of the project which includes the final billing, customer satisfaction, launch assessment readiness, handoff to Account Management and Support, lessons learned and other project close-out activities.

  • Able to manage one large project or a 2-3 medium sized interrelated projects requiring complex cross-functional collaboration and management at the program level.

  • Communicates project or program status and progress to customer stakeholders, executives and senior internal leadership effectively.

  • Run monthly Executive Steering Committee meetings with the customer.

  • Responsibility for client ownership and initial point of escalation during the project.

  • Have difficult conversations regarding budget, resources, and timeline and formally capture and communicate outcomes of those meetings.

  • Responsibility for partner relationship management for assigned or active partners (within scope of owned/active accounts and projects).

  • Seeks out additional Salesforce Commerce Cloud opportunities within assigned accounts.

  • As a member of the PMO team, provide input into the enhancement of Salesforce Commerce Cloud CS processes and methodology.

  • Provide ongoing guidance to Salesforce Commerce Cloud and its ecosystem of partners and customers on best project management practices.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and/or Information Technology or equivalent experience.

  • Project/Program Management experience in innovative, high-tech industry, with a proven ability to deliver on strategic and tactical business objectives

  • 7+ years of external consulting experience, including 3+ years of CRM consulting; and hands-on experience with one or more CRM software product such as Siebel, Oracle, Clarify, Vantive, PeopleSoft, NetSuite, Salesforce, etc.

  • Experience delivering waterfall, agile and hybrid projects 3+ years of implementing enterprise-wide Salesforce CRM applications, or other CRM/ERP/enterprise solutions

  • Demonstrated history of delivering high-quality results on schedule and within budget

  • Outstanding and effective interpersonal skills; along with strong communication skills both verbal and written

  • Ability to weigh business and technical requirements to produce project plans and estimates

  • Ability to lead both small and enterprise-wide engagements, facilitate meetings, mentoring teams of junior team members and effectively managing client escalations

  • Manage and communicate with remote developers during non-traditional business hours

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment

  • Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

  • Willingness to travel (up to 50% depending on location and assigned teams), and occasionally internationally

Preferred Requirements:

  • Technical background with an ability to understand various salesforce offerings and product features

  • Application development experience with JavaScript, XML, HTTP, Java, C++, ASP, SQL

  • 3+ years of direct experience with Salesforce configuration and custom development

  • Work experience with a professional consulting organization (e.g., Big 4 consulting)

  • Experience with Salesforce or other SaaS based technologies

  • Salesforce certifications (Admin, Consultant, Developer)

  • PMP certification
