Salesforce’s Business Technology Finance Domain Application Team is looking for a Sr. Manager to lead our software engineering teams. We need someone who is a strong results-oriented leader, energetic, highly collaborative and passionate about the product and our stakeholders. You will manage and lead a team of exceptional developers and quality engineers working on Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financial Management application and its integration with boundary systems. We work in a collaborative environment and we value transparent communication and feedback, and making learning fun.This job requires that you be a self-starter with the ability to take ownership and accountability, work under pressure, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. You will need to possess strong communication skills, have the ability to grasp a variety of unfamiliar technologies quickly, and work in a fast paced, team-driven environment. You may be asked to contribute ideas and provide feedback on many projects within the team’s portfolio.Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive the execution and delivery of KLO, F&E and SteerCo projects by collaborating with many cross functional teams, architects, product owners and engineers.
Display strong leadership in driving clarity to ambiguous situations and move the project forward.
Work with globally distributed Scrum teams and be able to forge strong partnership with global teams.
Make critical decisions that attribute to the success of the project
Proactive in foreseeing issues and resolve it before it happens
Actively engage with Finance Scrum Teams to ensure their success.
Partner with Product Owners to align with objectives, priorities, tradeoffs and risk
Ensure teams have clear priorities and adequate resources
Empowering the delivery team to self-organize
Be a multiplier and have a passion for team and team members success
Providing technical guidance, career development, and mentoring to team members
Maintaining high morale and motivating the delivery team to go above and beyond
Vocally advocating for technical excellence and helping the teams make good decisions
Participating in architecture discussions and planning
Participating in cross-functional coordination, planning, and reviews with leads from other engineering teams
Maintaining and fostering our culture by interviewing and hiring only the most qualified individuals with an eye towards diversity
Masters / Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Equivalent Experience
3+ years’ experience leading software development projects with a distinguished track record on cross functional projects delivery
Experienced working with Globally Distributed Scrum Teams.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational and time management skills
Ability to be nimble, proactive, comfortable working with minimal specifications
Experience with short release cycles, the full software lifecycle
Experience in hiring smart, talented engineers
Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices including coding standards, code reviews, SCM, CI, build processes, testing, and operations
Experience with Agile development methodologies. ScrumMaster experience required
Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and project management to understand requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
Experienced in leading teams for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Financial Management Modules: Oracle General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Accounts Receivables, eBTax (or Tax apps) with R12 release 12.1.3 or higher
Proven analytical, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
Desire to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Solid understanding of the architecture of the major functional platform(s) - Oracle Financials, SFTP servers, ETL tools.
Experience with Oracle Financials, Oracle RDBMS and UNIX shell or comparable scripting language.
Thorough understanding of Setups / Data flows / Interfaces (standard & custom) / Functionality.
Knowledge of accounting principles and 3rd party financial cloud applications is a big plus.
Experience in global ERP implementation especially implementations related to North America, EMEA, APAC countries.
