Role DescriptionAs an Accessibility Specialist supporting the Marketing, Commerce, and Integration Clouds, you'll be looked to as an expert, mentor, and evangelist of creating accessible products. You will work closely with other UX disciplines, development and product management to enhance existing accessibility features and help create new ways to make these clouds accessible. You are passionate about accessibility and are excited about the opportunity to transform the way Salesforce products are built. Facilitate and encourage collaboration and transparency across disciplines, geographies, and company departments.
Patiently and persistently evangelize, educate, and train designers, developers and product managers about accessibility
Regularly meet with stakeholders in both Technology and Product area to promote the benefits of accessibility
Work with existing Marketing, Commerce, and Integration Cloud products and audit them for accessibility and communicate areas of improvement.
Collaborate with researchers and designers to ensure future designs will be accessible and compliant with standards.
Demonstrate excellence at reviewing and communicating accessibility changes and updates from small details all the way up to high level direction.
Volunteer for the non-profit(s) and projects of your choice for at least 56 hours per year during paid working hours.

Experience / Skills Required
Experience with assistive technology and accessibility standards
Experience with JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver or other screen readers
Familiarity with assistive software technologies including dictation, magnifiers, etc.
Strong background in the implementation of current ARIA best practices for interactive UI and their effects on assistive technology
Ability to contribute to large accessibility initiatives by forming positive working relationships with Product Owners, Development and Quality Managers, in addition to engineers and designers
Ability to identify inaccessible features of web based and mobile applications
Ability to successfully assist in all aspects of accessible product development from design through development to quality testing
Ability to identify accessibility issues of visual and interaction designs
Ability to learn new UI development frameworks for the purpose of assisting engineers in creating accessible products
Familiarity with HTML and CSS
Must be self-motivated, a good communicator with solid speaking skills, comfortable following direction, and able to work independently as well as with a variety of different people and roles
Expert experience with accessible web and mobile development and testing
Experience with accessible HTML and motion and animation CSS
Evangelize and promote accessible design and development
Work with designers and developers to help them create accessible products and features
Work on various web and mobile application interfaces ensuring they are accessible for users and meet international accessibility standards
Lead accessibility presentations, brainstorms, discussions, and reviews
Solve complex accessibility problems
Thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, agile environment
Track accessibility work items related to your product area and be prepared to report current status to a number of different stakeholders
