At Core engineering team in Salesforce, we work on solving the hard, long term engineering problems in our software foundation that underlies all of our products. Focus is on building powerful and simple to use frameworks, services and software components that will be used by our products to deliver value to our end customers. We are looking for passionate engineers to join our team at Hyderabad and be part of our exciting journey in building a solid engineering foundation for our productsAs a Senior engineer in Kernel cloud in Core engineering (Hyderabad), you will be working on building caching service at scale. Your responsibilities include
Developing high-quality, production ready code that powers our cloud platform used by millions of users
Build scalable and performant services and frameworks
Complete ownership: As a lead member of the product team, lead the way in taking complete ownership of service - own services from building it to deploying it in production at scale and monitoring the service (and everything else in between)
Build upon open source wherever appropriate and contribute back to the community
Mentor junior team members
Participate in architectural initiatives, balancing long-term platform velocity with short-term customer needs
Extensive programming experience in any language (c/c++,c#, scala..)
Strong data structure and algorithms skills
Experience in working on large scale distributed systems for high volume workloads is desirable
A strong adherent to software engineering best practices which enable building world class products such as unit testing, modular code, right abstractions, continuous integration mindset etc
Quick, independent learner who loves a fast-paced environment
Work closely with cross-functional teams across geographies.
Strong service ownership mindset
Experience working in scrum/agile development environment is desirable
B.S. in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
