Job Description:

The Sales Strategy & Operations Analyst role is hybrid of traditional jobs in strategic planning, sales, finance, and analysis – featuring a mix of strategic planning, market analysis, sales optimization and business operational support. This role is an integral part of the high-performance team chartered with assisting the EVP of APAC in accelerating growth in the region. This role will specifically support the India market.

The team focuses on delivering operational insights to the leadership team as well as designing and facilitating the region's annual and long-range growth plan which includes investment plan, resource allocation, Go-To-Market strategy and customer segmentation, sales forecasting, and the assignment of sales territories and quotas.

The successful candidate will possess very strong analytical capabilities, a data-driven mindset, presenting to and partnering with top level executives, a strong work ethic, and is a fast learner. Sample projects in the role range from the very strategic to the very operational including evaluating specific market opportunities, supporting the creation of product and market growth strategies, business planning, market segmentation, sales pipeline analysis and regular review of key performance metrics.

Deliverables range from robust analytic models, custom performance analysis, building a scalable reporting infrastructure, surfacing and simplifying findings into actionable content and presentations for salesforce.com executives and sales leaders, working in the guidance of the Sales Strategy Head for the market. The role requires interaction with various areas of the organization and provides exposure to senior executives.

The ideal candidate will have a range of experience from the very strategic to running or supporting the operations. Prior experience in a top tier consulting firm, investment bank, or a comparable strategy and operations group is a big plus. Candidates from other business or engineering backgrounds that can demonstrate solid analytical and business capabilities are welcome to apply as well.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Experience designing and building complex financial models

  • Strong business acumen and awareness of trends

  • 2+ years of work experience, ideally in Management Consulting, Sales Operations, Sales Strategy, FP&A, or Sales Finance

  • B.S. in a quantitative discipline (e.g. statistics, math, operations research, engineering)

  • MBA a plus

  • Ability to apply theory to a situation and dissect the issue to either prove or disprove

  • Experience with sales coverage models, territory alignment, Go-To-Market a plus

  • Power user proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint

  • Proficiency in using data analytics tools such as Business Objects/SQL a plus
