The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Social Release Engineering team is looking for a new team member who is as excited as we are about enabling the teams that we support with great tools that help them move fast with confidence.

As a team, we envision a place where:

  • Our applications are always in a deployable state with the latest features that have been implemented and passed all stages of verification. These release candidates with new features are produced multiple times a day.

  • Teams are empowered with self-serve mechanisms to deploy the versions of the applications they want to the environment where they want them in order to do their jobs without waiting for other people.

As a successful candidate:

  • you can function in a fast-paced, chaotic environment, but have a desire and ability to turn chaos into orderly and efficient processes

  • You write software tools for fun and even your personal projects are well organized with code and configurations in version control and with fully automated builds and deployments

  • you believe that building quality into software is everybody's responsibility

  • you are obsessed with eliminating repetitive manual tasks

  • you have written software in at least 3 of the following languages:

  • Java, php, Ruby, python, bash, puppet, node.js

  • you have used at least three software build and deployment tools like:

  • Ant, Gradle, make, Maven, Ivy, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet

  • you have a good understanding of at least 2 web and application servers or middleware such as:

  • Apache, nginx, haproxy, jetty, Tomcat, memcache, redis, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ

  • you have used at least two virtualization, container or cloud platform such as:

  • VMWare, Virtualbox, Vagrant, Docker, AWS, GCP

  • you thrive when there is a need to engage with many people on other teams and keep lines of communication open

Education:

  • BS or higher degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering plus relevant job-related experience
