The B2B Technical Architect is part of the B2B Commerce Professional Services team, which includes technical and functional subject matter experts who assist our Customers and Partners in implementing, using, and optimizing Salesforce B2B Commerce. Reporting to a Delivery Manager, this individual will play a strategic role by utilizing their technical and consulting skills and past experiences to help our customers achieve success before, during and after implementation.Responsibilities:
Maintain expertise in Salesforce development and B2B Commerce technical product knowledge.
Provide technical consulting and advisory services in the field. Services include technical workshops, design/code reviews, performance profiling, creating architecture designs, delivering training, short term development work, product extension/integration, solution optimization and ad-hoc technical inquiries from implementation teams.
Help customers realize the value of the B2B Commerce platform as well as maximize use of native capabilities during implementation and releases.
Provide B2B Commerce best practices guidance to customers, partners, and internal personnel.
Help create implementation best practices to guide customers and implementation teams.
Support local Sales and Customer Success team members with new license or expansion opportunities for estimations, extensions, or advanced technical questions.
Contribute to internal documentation, author articles and white papers.
Strong communication and presentation skills with technical and business audiences
Approximately 30% travel.
Passionate about providing success services to help customers identify, create, and deploy business technology solutions.

3+ years professional experience in consulting or software development.
3+ years experience participating in application development (Java, APEX)
3+ years working knowledge of Salesforce OR working in ecommerce management, support or delivery.
Aptitude to learn the technical aspects of the B2B Commerce platform.
B.S. in Computer Science or similar field of study relevant to the role.
3-5+ years delivering Salesforce technical solutions.
3-5+ years delivering ecommerce solutions (e.g. custom, hybris, IBM, ATG, Magento) in an Architect or Developer type role.
Experience with the following front-end technologies/frameworks: Backbone JS, bootstrap, Handlebars, jQuery
Relevant current knowledge around continuous integration/delivery, version control tools/processes, performance evaluation/diagnosis, log analysis tools (i.e., splunk)
Experience with a variety of development and integration patterns and frameworks
Familiarity with eCommerce supporting technologies/platforms (i.e., CMS, DAM, PIM, ERP)
Salesforce certifications in Administration and Development.
