Job Details

You will be the first member of a new quality team being spun up at Mulesoft. As the team lead you will be responsible to lay out the initial direction and lay the groundwork for this team’s future success. This initial hire will focus on building processes and interfaces with other teams, creating a stronger tie between customer experience and the engineering roadmap.

The Quadrant 3 team will focus on the aspects of quality that most directly affect the customer. This includes Exploratory Testing, Usability Testing, and Complex Business Scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with UX and Product team to maintain key customer journeys.

  • Coordinate E2E testing for major platform changes based on key customer journeys.

  • Collaborate with UX and Product team to build and baseline KPIs. Identify top opportunities to improve KPIs.

  • Work with Product and UX to push BDD forward in the SDLC, enhancing requirements fit and improving customer outcomes.

  • Build process for integrating all forms of customer feedback (support cases, ideas portal, escalations) into the product prioritization process.

  • Create and manage roadmap for team, identify skill sets and talent needed to take the team to the next level.

  • Work effectively across teams and geographies.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years quality experience with a distinguished track record of driving outcomes for customers.

  • Experience managing testing of front end applications especially usability as well as cross-interface testing.

  • Ability to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results.

  • Ability to communicate with data, creating compelling calls to action through analysis and reporting.

  • Agile, proactive, comfortable working with ambiguous specifications and can prioritize on the fly.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as exemplified by clear bug/issue explanations, documentation of knowledge, mentoring ability, and comfort interacting with all levels of management.

  • The courage to pull the emergency brake on releases that will negatively affect our customers and reputation.

  • Masters/Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Equivalent Experience.
