As the director of Product Management for Application Manager you will be responsible for building a cloud based product that manages the full lifecycle of APIs, microservices, and integration applications, running in traditional and modern infrastructure based on kubernetes, service mesh, microservices and modern DevOps practices. You will work with a diverse team including engineering, AI & ML, and product management teams to deliver application management products, platforms, and services. Your primary functional ownership will include:

  • Identify compelling market opportunity for configuration, management, and operation of APIs and applications, and create a product strategy to exploit the opportunity

  • Meet with customers, users, prospects, partners, and industry analysts to communicate MuleSoft’s vision of the market, product roadmap, and competitive differentiation

  • Evaluate pricing and packaging alternatives to maximize product revenue

What you will achieve:

3 months:

  • Learn MuleSoft's business domain, architecture, and products

  • Embed yourself with the development team and start to drive agile process

  • Define the Application Management strategy and present to product executive and peer product managers

12 months:

  • Define a two-year roadmap for Application Management

  • Own the company’s application management vision for an application network (company vision), and serve as the point person to bridge between market needs and product development

  • Keep up with the latest DevOps, SDLC, deployment, and operational practices and trends

  • Drive innovation and enhance MuleSoft’s products

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Ability to quickly synthesize ideas, information, and options

  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, DevOps practices, and 360 cross-functional impact

  • Customer empathy

  • Experience in creating realistic release plans and identifying risks

  • Data-driven and results-oriented mindset

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills

  • BS in Computer Science/Engineering/Statistics or equivalent; advanced degree preferred

  • Prior experience as Software Engineer is a big plus
