Salesforce is seeking a highly experienced, dynamic Head of Marketing for India. The Head of Marketing will be a key driver in developing the strategic plan for this diverse and fast-growing market carrying out the appropriate market research, analysis and planning to create the right go-to-market initiatives to enable rapid market expansion and growth.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESWe are looking for a great leader. Someone who has the respect in the market to continue to attract ‘A’ Players to join her/him. We want someone with the passion to build our brand in this market. Above all else, we want someonewith enormous talent as a marketing leader. You will be expected to:

  • Responsible for all aspects of Salesforce marketing operations in the country, including executing on the Salesforce go-to-market strategy, and coordinating all elements of an integrated, global marketing program.

  • Hands on day-to-day responsible for all marketing operations as well as the leadership and accountability for all marketing functions: Demand Generation, Strategic Events, Digital in partnership with APAC centers of excellence.

  • Lead overall implementation of marketing programs including lead generation activities, marketing campaigns, awareness building, product & solutions sales support, reference programs, customer & partner marketing, on-line marketing programs.

  • Develop a regional strategy and investment plan

  • Responsible for achieving all marketing pipeline targets

  • Working closely with the sales leadership teams across the region to ensure all sales targets are met

  • Develop a high-level marketing plan for the region in conjunction with APAC regional, country and US/HQ stakeholders.

  • Build on the messaging delivered by corporate but adapting it for the subtleties and differences in the regional markets.

  • Develop and execute customer-driven, locally oriented marketing strategies and programs that will increase customer demand, sales, and positively impact Salesforce brand equity in India.

  • Work with corporate and local business units, develop and localize marketing strategies, leverage both internal and external resources for best practice.

  • Develop and implement Salesforce advertising activities. Organize and implement marketing events and product launch.

  • Drive product and solution initiatives and new product introductions into the region, setting and measuring performance against objectives.

  • Act as the Salesforce key spokesperson at industry executive events, to the media, to industry analysts, partners, customers, and other key audiences for company positioning and messaging.

  • Conduct primary and secondary market research and advise country stakeholders on sales and marketing strategies.

  • Produce quarterly reports on market and industry for management team. Direct day-to-day market research and competitive analysis projects.

  • Hire and Coach top talent. Train and motivate a dynamic, team of customer marketing managers and staff, empowering them with consultative sales skills to meet and exceed corporate and client expectations.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • 15+ years marketing experience in a role managing multi-channel marketing campaigns ( ie. email, direct mail, print, online and /or social media), Digital, PR and Events.

  • 5+ years experience developing and executing new marketing strategies and programs for B2B organizations - from events to PR to campaigns and digital

  • 5+ years experience driving demand and pipeline for the programs

  • 5+ years experience managing marketing budgets, allocating & optimizing spend across tactics and experience with forecasting results

  • 5+ years experience partnering with sales to deliver enterprise results

  • Past experience in using salesforce and/or other marketing tools such as Marketo, Eloqua, Responsys, Google Analytics, Omniture, etc.

  • High energy and the ability to manage multiple initiatives

  • Works well under pressure or in a high growth environment that is constantly changing

  • Track record for delivering under tight deadlines

  • Strong understanding of demand generation and a track record of owning campaigns and driving success

  • Strong communication skills including story telling with PowerPoint, data crunching with Excel, use of salesforce.com, etc.

  • Analytically inclined, exceptional organizational skills with rigorous attention to detail.

  • Bachelor degree from a 4 year college/university

  • MBA a plus (but we love smart people who really love to innovate and get things done)
